These special pets have come into DABS care and for many and varied reasons Dabs can not rehome them, if you read each of their stories you will understand each have a very different reason that has caused us to reach this decision. DABS will never euthanize any animal that with medical care can continue to live a good and happy life. The very sweet Bella came to DABS when her elderley owner
was no longer able to care for her. It was found Bella has cushings disease and a collapsing trachea.
Her needs are on going meds and lots of love from her carer,Maree with some other foster dogs.

Gus has been in care with DABS for a while now, after being rescued off the street and while we had aimed to rehome Gus, it has been decided that he will stay with his loving foster carers ,the people with whom he first learned to trust people with.
Gus has FIV and other medical conditions, and we are asking you donate to Gus's medical care, With the right medication Gus is living a good and happy life, at 13 years old.
Kenny is a older dog placed by DABS but very sadly his owner had a bad fall and has had to go to a nursing home. Kenny has settled in well at his duty of care foster home, he gets on well with his other small duty of care foster doggy's and loves his foster mum Maree.

Patch also known
as Groucho Barks came into Dabs care along with his friend Prinny after his owner died, cracky and out spoken Patch will live out his days as a DABS Duty of Care dog and that's okay with him.
Came into DABS care as along with friend Patch as her owner passed away.
Prinny is her own girl, loves her foster carer and likes old friend Patch is very happy to be a DABS Duty of Care dog. The food and cuddles are great and we think her old owner would be pleased too, to know her best friends are safe for their remaining days.
Pebbles came to us as a young dog, unfortuneatly she has many behavioural problems that sadly have not been able to be remedied. she requires daily medicine and loves her foster doggy family and her foster dad ,but only him and him a alone. Her foster dad provides love and support for Pebbles but she need your help to provide food and medicine.
Simba is a little shy chap but he is loving life with his carer and family including their own cat . Unfortunately Simba has a type of auto immune disease that will require him to have dental work on occasion. We are very grateful Simba is living his best life in a happy family. This will help keep his stress levels down ,which will also help with his disease.
Smeegle has a wonderful ,strong spirit and loves his foster carer, following a accident as a puppy that was not corrected, Smeegle was left with permanently damaged back legs and knees. Because of kindness shown to Smeggle via donations on DABS facebook page Smeegle was given wheels to use outside, he also has some urinary problems as well. None of this worries Smeegle This boy, likes to play with other dogs ,lay in the sun and eat plenty of treats. At DABS we thought long and hard and it was decided Smeegle should stay with his dog carer as a Duty of Care Dog. This young boy has Wobbley kitten Syndrome, which means his brain has not fully formed, ocourse Toppy thinks he is just fine, this causes him no pain and is not contagious ,why this happens no one truely knows at this time. And Toppy may one day be able to go to a very person and have a forever home, but for now he needs love which he gets from his cat carer and support from you.Please Help Toppy be the best boy he can be.

For looking after our Wobbly Kitten Syndrome kitten Toppy. He has been improving over the last 3 weeks. He will never be cured but he is handling his problem much better. So we look forward to finding him a furever loving home soon. Many Thanks Neil

Tottie is a very sweeet old girl with on going lung and heart conditions. While not thinking she has she has any problems lol,sadly Tottie need medical support, can you help us to help this very sweet soul live the best life she can.
